QB3 is seeking a Project Analyst to assist with the planning and launch of its life science incubator initiative program. At the direction of the Executive Director, the individual will assist in organizing and prioritizing the development of an industry advisory board and a tenant mentorship program. Specific tasks will include assessing priorities, scheduling meetings, synthesis of discussion, and follow-up. In addition, the individual will assist with tenant recruitment activities. Examples include creating content for communications (newsletters, brochures), and tracking prospective tenant interest.

All content must align with UCSF’s brand identity standards as posted at identity.ucsf.edu.

Final products should follow both UCSF and Advancement (TheCampaign) brand strategies, as well as UCSF digital and editorial policies.

QB3 is the University of California’s hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in life science. The institute supports UC researchers and empowers Bay Area entrepreneurs to launch startup companies and partner with industry. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field or the equivalent combination of work experience and education
• Demonstrated skill at being highly organized and efficient, detail oriented
• Demonstrated ability to work well with people
• Ability to work on a diverse set of projects for an evolving program
• Flexibility to work on multiple projects
• Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to take an idea being discussed and help document and track to turn it into a program
• Demonstrates ability to engage with others and support entrepreneurs

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree, Masters. PhD, MBA
• Exposure to company formation, technology transfer, venture funding
• Experience in the life science industry
• Working knowledge of fundamental biological terminology and principles
