RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and ergonomics standards and rules.

Assist departments (i.e. Logistics, Assembly, etc.) documenting processes, flows and work instructions.

Provide support in an effort to improve processes.

Assist the Quality department with data entry.

Analyze results of actions plan, validation plan and risk plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor program for Engineering (Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred).

Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours a week (will work around student’s class schedule).

Full Job Description

MISSION:

Ensure that suppliers have accurate forecast of releases to see that the right number of the right components are delivered at the right time in order to meet production requirements.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Using data in SAP to prepare forecast 4 – 6 months in the future;
  • Based on forecast, plan orders for components from suppliers
  • Monitor stock levels of raw material and ensure on-time delivery of material
  • Releasing orders from suppliers for components;
  • Reviewing and updating released and planned orders daily;
  • Communication and follow-up of orders to suppliers;
  • Maintaining and controlling inventory balances
  • Serve as a key user system. Train and asses end –users
  • All other duties assigned by manager
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement tools

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dedication to Safety
  • College degree or strong relevant experience
  • 5 years experience working with domestic and international suppliers
  • Experience with transportation/logistics industry helpful
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and SPAB
  • Strong organizational skills

The Customer Service Sales Intern reports directly to the Director of the Customer Center and directly supports the activities of the Customer Center Sales Managers, Program Management and Program Application Engineers.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in use of SAP, an MRP planning system an asset but training provided as needed.
  • Basic ability to navigate Internet and Intranet software packages.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Must be flexible, dependable and creative.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills (English required.)
  • Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data.
  • Must be able to manage time and determine priorities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full time college student sophomore or higher class pursuing a business degree.
