Full-Time / Evenings
$21.55 per hour

This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand building pallets of product for bulk, and route trucks. Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from Electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Follows Pepsi warehouse instructions in building loads. Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of weather conditions and hours, shift duration depends on work load and may vary daily.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and removing any returned pallets/plastic flats. Responsible for unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse space.
Bulk truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto a pallet. Position is responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. In most cases, pallets are loaded onto a trailer for local delivery. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Route truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors or pallets of products from the warehouse and loading them into the truck. Product/packages for each truck are customized based on the salespersons order. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as product is moved.

PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Drive power pallet jack or forklift to picking area and build pallet/load according to load sheet or voice pick audio equipment (if applicable)
  • Mark load ticket for out of stock items
  • Wrap pallet when pallet/load is finished
  • Turn in paper work with order for check before loading and have truck checked
  • Stage pallet and/or load into truck when ready
  • Complete partial pallets and put away mixed pallets
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 18 years or older
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.)
  • Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)
  • Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)
  • Experience working in a team environment (e.g., cooperating with co-workers, joint problem solving, etc.)

Position delivers products to stores on an established route or via dynamic dispatch to customers including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, drug stores, etc. (average of 15-20 stops per day). Drives the delivery vehicle to a location, unloads and brings products into the store. Is responsible for ongoing rotating and stocking of products on store shelves, displays, vending equipment, and in coolers. Builds displays and sets up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners. Generates invoices and is responsible for daily settlement of cash and charges. Has frequent interaction with store management and Pepsi management.

This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading and pushing/pulling a significantly high volume of cases per day ranging from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during work hours. It also requires reaching, squatting, and bending while delivering and merchandising products in the store and delivering products across a wide variety of weather conditions. At times (such as summer and other peak seasons), this position requires long work hours.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver products, serve customers, and execute all promotions to multiple stores each day
  • Operate trucks requiring an appropriate CDL license (e.g., performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)
  • Service all scheduled customers by the end of the daily shift
  • Merchandise and rotate all accounts to local standards (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating products, cleaning shelves, refilling out of stocks, removing out of date products, removing/returning shells, etc.)
  • Push and pull pallet jacks, hand trucks and breakdowns to move products to and from truck
  • Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account

This position will require tech to work on a variety of equipment from pallet jacks to class 8 assets. CDL class A license will be required within a year of hire which fleet department will help with training.
Position performs basic diagnostic and repair work, including scheduled preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes, and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light, medium, and non-DOT-regulated vehicles), vans, forklifts, and material handling equipment. Position works with a high degree of independence. This position requires that you have your own basic hand tools diagnostic, ergonomic, and high-tech equipment will be provided. Due to the scope and variety of Pepsi’s fleet, our department includes a variety of positions and job opportunities, ranging from entry-level to master technicians. We provide extensive training and continuous education to build onto your current basic maintenance education. Position also requires a number of physical movements including lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating and handling objects.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Diagnose failures of vehicles/material handling equipment and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
  • Complete oil and filter changes
  • Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors
  • Computer-based diagnostics interface with modern truck interfaces
