The Team

Shared Services’ mission is to help enable Compliance & Ethics to do more with less. Our goal is to effectively & efficiently deliver specialized functions to enable the advancement of the C&E division. This includes Data Operations & Analytics, Systems Support, Continuous Improvement, Administration, Operations, and Strategic Consultation.

The Impact:

This position is critical in assisting Compliance & Ethics in meeting their strategic priorities.  A large part of this position’s responsibilities includes supporting and interacting with senior level compliance leaders. As a result, communication, consultation skills and influencing skills are key to the success of the position. This individual should excel at working collaboratively and cross-functionally with subject matter experts. Key responsibilities for this critical role include and are not limited to

Strategy & Planning

  • Facilitate annual and quarterly strategy meetings with Senior Leadership.
  • Partner with leaders at all levels to evaluate current practices, identify trends, organizational strengths, and weaknesses, and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Conduct analysis for senior leadership in areas such as the organization’s operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, operating cost containment, etc.
  • Create staffing models and drive staffing discussions to ensure C&E utilizes resources most effectively
  • Develop and maintain the strategy for how C&E will become more efficient and effective in the following disciplines
    • Project Management
    • Change Management
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Communications

Implementation

  • Oversee and execute the C&E project management, change management, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Conduct quarterly expense forecasting and monthly expense reporting
  • Oversee Compliance & Ethics OER/ECP readiness including return to office strategy

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum 8 years experience in strategy type role
  • Experience with and broad knowledge of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Deep understanding of management frameworks.
  • Sound knowledge of financial analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication and demonstrates a level of executive presence while working with senior leaders
  • Excellent writing skills.

Responsibilities of the role:

Objectives of this role What success looks like :

  • Accountable for cross-functional solution architecture of the technologies / projects in the Investment Management stack including the Derivatives Ecosystem, Market Risk, and Credit Risk

  • Experience deploying and administering applications on Windows and Linux servers

  • Experience with batch job scheduling (TWS / Maestro), orchestration, secure file transfer, XML and XML concepts (schemas, XSD, XSLT), SQL Server / Oracle query and query writing
  • Skilled leading and / or participating in system design and architectural activities including technical requirement writing experience and ability to lead collaboration for important design decisions.
  • Experience in AWS cloud application design, development, and deployment including AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment including employees, vendors, and third-party contractors
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Strong understanding and adherence to IT SDLC and operational best practices
