What You’ll Do

•    Serve as the shift lead on the sales floor, providing guidance and feedback to an operational team of 2-10 associates
•    Create an environment where your colleagues can do their best work
•    Uphold Lidl’s standards for freshness, cleanliness, and availability
•    Ensure and provide excellent customer service throughout the store

What You’ll Need

•    A team-oriented attitude
•    Excellent customer service skills, including the patience and ability to de-escalate tense situations
•    Willingness to participate in the physical operations of the store, including stocking, cleaning, and ringing on a constant basis
•    Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, in the English language
•    Must be 21 years of age or older
•    Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification

Lidl US is seeking a Regional Director of Real Estate to oversee our Carolina expansion. The Director is responsible for the regional real estate strategy and achievements of their real estate teams. The role is responsible for managing a real estate team conducting the duties of market analysis, site identification and qualification, negotiation and exchange of purchase and lease agreements, completion of zoning approvals, and procurement of all necessary permissions and licenses.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee regional market analysis, acquisition, and negotiation processes
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with landowners, brokers, developers, potential business partners, and professional organizations
  • Represent Lidl US to local governmental entities and the public including facilitating community meetings and public hearings
  • Oversee the acquisition team activities including the purchase and lease of retail sites and hiring consultants and contractors
  • Responsible for detailed budgets, scheduling expenditures, and initiating corrective action
  • Ensure real estate transactions meet the financial and strategic objectives of the region

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Urban Planning or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in related field Knowledge of retail real estate site selection, purchase and lease negotiations, real estate law, zoning law, entitlement process, construction process, and business management
  • Strong leadership principles, team management and interpersonal skills
  • Effective, efficient and results-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, relationship building/interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, analytical, project management, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to use project management, budget management, and other customized software systems
  • Ability to confidently present to local stakeholders and senior management
  • This position requires domestic travel more than 50% of the time
  • This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 50% of the time
  • Driver’s License
