Full Job Description

The Principle Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Transfer of Technology Programs and Special Projects for Operations. This position requires the individual to be capable of handling a broad range of competing priorities on a daily basis. The incumbent will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of his/her programs and/or projects, ensure that customer requirements are met and direct all phases of the programs and/or projects within their span of control from inception through completion. The Project Manager works closely with the Business Unit(s), other Functions and External Customers in planning and execution of the project requirements.

  • Lead Multi-functional Teams in design and set up of operations capabilities in Customer sites.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned projects and programs.
  • Responsible for managing cost/schedule/technical aspects of ongoing projects to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Serves as single point-of-contact across multiple organizations including, but not limited to engineering, operations, finance, program management, product management, and IT
  • Respond to RFQ’s including the development of detailed cost estimates.
  • Understands the role and responsibility of each team member, and through expert communication and leadership skills, establishes a common understanding among team members on scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
  • Demonstrates ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.
  • Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
  • All other assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and /or Project/Program Management
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and /or Project/Program Management
  • Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of operations including, planning, quality, manufacturing, and test engineering job and in-depth knowledge of project management.
  • Experience in cost estimating, creating proposals, and developing BOE’s
  • Proven Leadership capabilities and ability to collaborate with other functions
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally ~10-15% of the time, and for extended periods.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Manufacturing preferred).
  • Prior Technology Transfer Experience
  • International Project Experience
  • Proficient in software applications including Microsoft Office and Oracle
  • Working knowledge of the overall operations at JROC from receiving to shipping, including stockroom, SMT, Assembly, Test, configuration, etc.
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Job Title: Assembler – Second Shift + shift differential pay

Job Code: ASSA

Location: Salt Lake City, UT / USA-UT-Salt Lake City

SHIFT: SWING Shift/ Second Shift. Start time is on or after 3:30pm

Schedule: Monday – Friday. You can choose: 4×10 or 5×40

Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly and automated test operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.

Responsibilities

  • Works from test procedures, diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools
  • Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed
  • May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions
  • Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures including ESD, FOD, and housekeeping and other duties as assigned by the area supervisor or manager
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to show up to work on time and as scheduled
  • Able to work Overtime, Weekends, Holidays as needed
  • Comfortable using PC based applications

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to use hand movements, repetitive motions, grasping, holding, hand-eye coordination, color distinction, visual inspection, and measuring/assembling at distances close to the eye. Periodically exposed to potentially hazardous conditions including extreme noise levels, lasers, electricity, radiation, machinery and equipment, chemicals, and toxic metals. Occasionally may lift up to 30 pounds. Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
  • Read and interpret color diagrams, tables, schematics, test procedures and engineering instructions
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Qualifications:

High school Diploma, or Equivalent

1 year related experience, preferably on a Swing Shift.

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have, not required):

  • Any experience working in an SOP and regulated environment. Medical Device Assembly, Auto Parts Assembly, Aircraft Assembly, ect.
  • Active Security Clearance (Secret)
  • Previous Electromechanical test or assembly experience
  • Active/Current IPC certification
