Full Job Description
The Transportation Manager – has overall responsibility of the DFD (Delivered Fresh Daily) delivery team assigned to their location. This role will uphold high service levels to internal and external customers while managing costs favorable to budget. Additionally, the Transportation Manager will focus on promoting driver safety, service, and delivery.

- Review scheduling and routing for location to ensure optimized delivery plan
- Promote culture of safety and compliance
- Ensure customer relations through direct contact with customer base
- Communicate and plan execution of multiple off-premise programs and initiatives
- Establish and measure Customer Service Excellence by conducting market visits/audits and customer input
- Provide mentorship and coaching to Transportation Supervisor
- Fostering a positive work environment in support of company vision, mission, and cultural objectives
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- Five+ years experience in transportation management or logistics
- Broad knowledge of transportation systems
- Superior verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills
- PC literate
- Ability to travel 10% to 15% (based on business need)
- Advanced degree and parcel delivery experience is preferred
