Grundfos is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join its Manufacturing team. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible This position is responsible for performing various production jobs utilizing control instructions, work instructions, and other quality tools to ensure that safety and quality requirements are met. The Manufacturing Technician will collaborate with the team leader or supervisor, safety and quality. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Fresno, CA facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

  • Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers.
  • Produces components utilizing equipment and machinery.
  • Performs assembly operations utilizing hands and/or tools and equipment.

Peerless Pump, a Grundfos company, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team in Selma, AL . This position will focus on all warehousing, shipping, and receiving activities within the Peerless Selma factory. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about?

 

  • Assist the Supply Chain Supervisor in consistently meeting department goals and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Housekeeping, and Quality within the warehouse.
  • Contribute to the overall success of all departments within Selma Factory, as well as all Peerless facilities, by working in close cooperation with company staff to meet and exceed our customer expectations for delivery and support.
  • Assist in the development, submission for approval, and implementation of changes to the processes and procedures in use at the Selma factory. Also support changes in facility layout, flow, and operations, in order to improve customer satisfaction and/or reduce costs.
  • Maintain all cycle counting programs within the warehouse.
  • Work in Receiving and Shipping to insure smooth operations, transaction integrity, and appropriate material flow.
  • Ensure that the needs of the Production Departments are supported in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
What do you need to apply?

Qualified candidates will possess a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), along with 2-3 years of supply chain experience.

 

  • 5 years of experience in materials management/logistics/warehousing preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, lead, and operate as a member of project implementation teams.
  • Knowledge of MRP II concepts/practices, inventory management, and freight movement.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of personal computers. Must have a good comprehension of the WM module within SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of importing and exporting components and products.
  • Basic knowledge of Total Quality Management concepts and practices.
  • Strong and proven record of good communication skills and motivational practices.
  • Ability to make improvements to an existing portion of a business through successful leadership on major projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others.
  • Ability to work in factory environment.
