Gates Corporation, formerly Atlas Hydraulics/Pace Manufacturing, is growing in Brandon, SD and we are hiring for Assemblers in our Hose and Tube Shop for our 1st (6am – 2pm) or 3rd (10pm – 6am) Shifts.
This position is part of the production team, reporting directly to the shift supervisor and/or team leader.  Assemblers operate equipment to couple and form various sizes and product lines of hydraulic hose & tube assemblies. Job duties include performing assembly tasks utilizing a variety tools and machines, working in a team supporting the safety, productivity, and delivery of high quality products.
* Attendance is an essential function of this position.  The employee must have regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance.
* Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime.
* Ability to read, understand and perform printed and verbal work instructions throughout all processes.
* Constantly demonstrate safe working habits and follows all safety requirements.
* Plans, evaluates, sets up and runs needed equipment – saws, crimpers, pushers, flushers, etc. and verifies compliance.
* Operate machine controls including recognizing warning devices on machines throughout the process.
* Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume production environment.
* Must be team-oriented individual who understands and supports the team approach to manufacturing.
* Use of scanners & internal production systems
* Proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions.
* Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervision.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
Physical requirements require regular lifting, pushing, standing and pulling of product. Basic skill training for this position will be provided and measured.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Most areas do not require hearing protection.  All areas require steel toed shoes/boots and approved safety glasses.  Brandon has a hearing conservation program in operations. This program is managed in compliance with OSHA guidelines and requires all employees to wear hearing protection while on the operations floor.

Job Description

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located remotely, you will be in charge of selling Gates Power Transmission and Fluid Power product line where you will be calling on customers specifically within the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sectors. Your territory will consist of mostly focusing in on the north-east and mid-west. For this position Gates will provide you with everything you need for a home office, internet services, a company phone and a company vehicle.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be responsible to develop, secure, manage and grow market share of Fluid Power and Power Transmission product lines with broad end market accounts at key OEM (Ag, Construction or Lift Market) customers.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you must be intimately aware of customer strategic goals, cycle plans and initiatives within the North American and global marketplace.
  • You”ll participate as a regional account lead and part of global team.
  • You will also work closely with associate Management, Global Product Line Management, Program Managers and Applications Engineers along with Gates Finance, Operations and Product Development and Pricing to support testing, sampling and product commercialization.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Responsible to oversee, grow and manage sales & profitability expectations.
  • Secures multimillion dollar account assignment and responsible for total business relationship and overall satisfaction with assigned customer base.
  • Develop strong relationships and contacts at assigned accounts and will have domestic account responsibility for key account(s).
  • Conduct and provide industry segment forecast and trend data to marketing team as required.
  • Comprehensive and collaborative business planning and CRM use.
  • Leads strategies for products or services provided responding to changing market conditions.
  • Manage and develop customer relationship including Customer Scorecard advising company needs to exceed customer expectations.
  • Manages and interacts regularly with internal resources to develop customer solutions and insight.
 

Required:

  • 8+ years” of progressive sales experience
  • Bachelor”s Degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be willing to live in the territory. Relocation is not provided
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50-70% through your territory
  • Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor”s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical degree
  • Experience selling Power Transmission products and/or Fluid Power or Fluid Conveyance- chains, belts, motors, bearings, hydraulics
  • Experience selling to Industrial Distributors and/or experience working for an Industrial Distributor
  • Salesforce or experience with an CRM system
