The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Branch Operations Manager. He/she will handle all aspects of operations including, purchase orders (inter-company and vendor), inventory management and control, future equipment needs through Discos II and order processing.
Job Description
Tracks and monitors purchase orders (inter-company and vendor) from original request to final invoicing, including issuing purchase orders to vendors, conducting price comparisons and negotiating vendor pricing.
Timely and accurately files all correspondence related to material purchases (material requests, vendor confirmation, price comparisons)
Tracks and monitors branch inventory movement levels, reconditioning posting to insure they are properly maintained using the in-house order processing and logistics systems. Reports any discrepancies to the Branch Operations Manager.
Ensures that the procurement of goods and services is coordinated with the Controller/CFO and Head of Procurement for the respective areas of responsibility within the signing authority limits and in compliance with the procurement guidelines.
Reviews vendor invoices and compares each invoice to the purchase order to ensure accurate pricing.
Reviews future equipment needs through Discos II and Excel spreadsheets, comparing the total requirements against availability and entering inter-company or vendor purchases to reduce backorders.
Reviews the open order report daily and coordinates with the Branch Operations Manager.
Responsible for monitoring and completing the required paperwork for inbound and outbound containers.
Provides pricing of non-standard Doka USA products for the sales team as approved by National Operations.
Responsible for meeting the delivery schedule for ordered material being shipped to the customer job site.
Coordinates load scheduling, order picking and order fulfillment accuracy with the Branch Operations Manager.
Ensures all unloading returns procedures are followed, including: photographing trucks, issuing a Discos II return number and unloading authorization ticket.
Responsible for maintaining daily company vehicle inspection records.
Ensures truck drivers are licensed in accordance with the DOT requirements.
Ensures trucks, trailers are loaded and secured in accordance with established procedures and do not exceed the height and weight requirements.
Assigns shipment methods for optimal efficiency.
Tracks and monitors truck driver progress to ensure productivity.

Other duties/projects as assigned; including participating in company committees/teams.

Qualifications/Technical Proficiency
Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred, concentration in Finance, Controlling, Logistics or Traffic desired.
Experience in administration, operations or controlling preferred.
Facilitates projects and effectively manages multiple tasks.
Excellent communication skills including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
Proficient using Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel required.
Willing and able to learn new computer systems, products, concepts and techniques.
Organized team player able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.

This position requires the ability to support the branch operations function and resolve operations related issues on short notice with minimal information.

Working conditions vary from that of an office environment: dry, cool, well lighted, to outside conditions (equipment yard), high noise level in certain areas and extreme outdoor temperatures.
