                                                                            Job Description

Job Summary

The Systems Analyst – Systems Administration will lead the application administration for a suite of applications. You will also manage the ongoing development and optimization of the application platforms. You will ensure the application stack is operating and improve processes to maintain the redundancy and resiliency of the suite of applications. The Systems Administrator will work with functional leaders, organizational units, and experts to develop new processes. The Systems Administrator will implement the daily configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our application platforms.

Additionally, the Systems Analyst ensures the Agile product team is implementing technical standards and patterns approved by the IT Architectural Board.  The Systems Analyst supports the definition of architectural standards and validates proofs of concept, including design inputs from Product Owners and Agile team members.  The Systems Analyst is responsible for the definition of test automation scripts for the Agile team and assists in resolving defects, and the Systems Analyst supports defining release activities and interdependencies for a successful release.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote design of more self-service and automated systems management / provisioning solutions
  • Promote and follow change management process
  • Ensure appropriate monitoring is in place for application
  • Provide overall process develop tools that help Conagra’s development teams to develop application in an agile framework
  • Understand end-to-end application environment and work with architects and Agile teams to validate capabilities are being built according to strategic direction
  • Help develop technical documentation; participate in test-plan development, integration, and deployment
  • Help develop detailed technical specifications and designs for projects / system enhancements
  • Provide leadership and manage the offshore support team
  • Provide reliability, high availability, performance, and scalability for applications
  • Evaluate application requirements and provide recommendations on appropriate hosting platform
  • Ensure reliability and continued scalability of the application platform for users
  • Provide systems-level insight to the application delivery team
  • Provide on-call support
  • Upto 10% Travel

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or other degrees
  • 3+ years in Information Technology, experience in Linux or Windows in a virtualized environment
  • Systems operations experience. Desirable experience will include two or more of the following: cloud service providers, automation / scripting
  • Working knowledge in infrastructure platforms and architecture such as Windows, Linux, storage, virtualization, and database
  • 2+ years working knowledge of cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies
  • 2+ years java application tuning and administration of Java application servers
  • Work with the Network team setting up load-balancer for supportive applications
  • At this time, we require applicants for this role to be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future

Preferred:

  • Expertise in one or more of the preferred skills below
  • Understanding of disaster recovery/business continuity planning
  • Experience with support configuration and maintenance of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Working knowledge of IT business functional areas, Enterprise Technology Services and Application Delivery IT functions
  • Ability to define a project plan and lead cross functional teams
