Job Description

This position will be responsible for effectively managing assigned key accounts, identifying, negotiating, and securing new development and commercial supply agreements for Wellness (Softgels, gummies, Lozenges and soft chews).  The Account Director will lead Catalent’s customer centric approach to bringing holistic solutions to our key regional business partners to achieve organic growth in line with our 5-year strategic plan.

The Role

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to effectively drive short and long-term growth for Catalent and our partners.
  • In coordination with Marketing, conceptualize and execute strategies to sell in our current and future portfolio of innovative wellness product dossiers.
  • Establish relationships with C-suite personnel within key accounts, as well as with other key decision makers and influencers at all appropriate levels.
  • Support Marketing to research and maintain up-to-date information on wellness and consumer health markets, customer initiatives and assist in gathering competitive intelligence.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service/Commercialization, Finance, Legal and Product Development to oversee the day-to-day requirements of our business relationships including pricing, contract extensions/amendments, forecasting, periodic business review meetings, and other customer service related issues.
  • Work in partnership with Catalent senior leadership, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, Quality and Global Account Leaders to ensure holistic, effective and world class management of accounts to build trust, loyalty and a synergistic relationship that achieves long-term stability and organic growth for both parties.
  • Ensure timely, effective, open, and accurate communication with accounts on a consistent basis.

The Candidate

  • A BS/BA degree is required – preference for business/marketing degree.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in business developments for pharmaceutical, consumer health and/or VMS industries.

The Candidate 

  • Proven, successful track record as sales executive or brand manager in a leading company operating in the cosmetic industry, minimum 3 years of experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or another related field; Advanced scientific degree and/or Master of Business Administration preferred
  • Proven sales & technical skills and able to manage commercial, marketing & technical presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills; flexible, collaborative team player.

Commercial Operations Manager

The Role

  • Evaluate customer’s products using a Portfolio Management approach to provide long-term view of demand and life cycle analysis
  • Partner with Business Development and Project Management as the primary customer-facing team, establishing project governance and effective communication between the customer and Catalent’s Operations teams and senior Management.
  • In cooperation with the Business Development, Legal and Contract Administration teams serve as key member of the negotiation team during preparation and negotiation of development and supply agreements for targeted customers
  • Lead the process for extension/renewal of existing commercial supply agreements.
  • Monitor and report on business and contract related aspects during project execution to ensure customers adhere to agreed terms such as forecasting, purchase order placement, on-time payment and minimum quantities.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Evaluation and Proposals team providing appropriate oversight in preparation/pricing of proposals for new business with existing customers.
  • Provide support to BD team members on strategy/negotiation of proposals as needed.
  • Work with Site Operations and Finance teams to routinely evaluate cost vs price models and discuss opportunities for improvements.

The Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline.  (Advanced degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, quality, technical project management, business management, business development
  • Relevant industry knowledge of drug product and biologic development, analytical research and development, project scale-up, product manufacturing, quality, validations, and regulatory
  • Analytical, financial skills, business acumen
  • Superior customer services skills and professional demeanor

The Role

With a focus on quality deliverables you will have a chance to participate in delivering products to market quickly and with a quality mindset. This role combines compliance strategy, user experience, customer feedback, and to develop transformative solutions with a high focus on the quality compliance aspect of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Route documents to close QCA/CAPAs/Actions/Change Controls
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives within Quality Control
  • Update documents that need revised

The Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in a College or University
  • Must be an undergraduate student in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field of study
  • Spring, Summer and Fall 2021 Start Dates (3 Sessions)
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Able to work full time (40 hours/week) for the duration of the co-op
