Molecular Technologist

Castle Biosciences Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Molecular Technologist with a preferred start date of October 2021. This laboratory biotech position earns a competitive base pay plus an annual achievable bonus as well as company stock options and restricted stock units (RSUs). Founded in 2008, we develop and commercialize diagnostic and prognostic tests for dermatologic cancers. Our tests provide clinically actionable, tumor-specific genomic information to enable more accurate treatment plan decisions. As a Molecular Technologist, you play a vital role in the production of high-quality test results for our patients and clinicians. You will perform molecular techniques and maintain superior quality working conditions and ensure quality control for the patient samples you are assigned. Your highly focused approach for long periods of time will ensure we deliver best-in-class test results. You will prepare and analyze clinical samples according to scientific methodology and specialized analytical techniques. This position is rewarding because, with every test you perform, you are helping to improve the health outcomes for patients with dermatologic cancers!


  • B.S. in scientific discipline or equivalent with 4-7 years experience in research and/or a development environment.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, successful collaboration with others, and independent thought.
  • Minimum 4 years laboratory experience in High Complexity testing plus QA training or 2 years clinical QA experience.

Do you have a strong understanding and practical experience with Molecular Techniques or other manual testing? Do you have prior experience pipetting? Are you organized and able to effectively multitask to get the job done in a timely manner?
