  • The Assistant Media Manager will support all day-to-day operations of the Christian Dior Perfumes media team with an emphasis on digital campaign implementation and performance.
  • They will partner with agency teams to brief, implement, maintain and report on full-funnel campaigns across paid channels including Social, Display and Online video.
  • The Assistant Media Manager will also help manage creative across digital and traditional channels (OOH, print, linear TV) when needed.
  • The position will play a key role in the overall brand media strategy.
  • Candidate should have a strong understanding of the beauty landscape and key competitive players.

  • Daily campaign management and optimization
  • Monitor key KPIs for ongoing campaigns and share channel insights with key stakeholders within local and HQ teams
  • Manage respective agencies throughout campaign planning and implementation
  • Partner with agencies to improve reporting structure and benchmarks
  • Work closely with the local E-Business and Marketing teams on campaign calendar across Fragrance, Make-Up and Skincare categories
  • Manage creative delivery for traditional channels including print, OOH and linear TV
  • Identify emerging trends to help make strategic media decisions
  • Post-campaign reporting with consolidated learnings for cross-functional teams and upper management recaps
  • Track competitive activity on ongoing basis, to be shared with local and HQ teams

Ascend Entertainment, a Talent Management firm specializing in digital-first talent and influencer marketing, is seeking a qualified candidate for Executive Assistant, based in New York City, with its office in the famed Chrysler Building in Midtown Manhattan.

This is an in-person role. Due to the nature of the role, this employee would be expected to work on-site in our [NYC – Midtown Manhattan] office 5 days/week. We are not looking to hire remote employees at this time.

  • This is an entry-level or Associate-level role, depending on the experience of the candidate. This role sits at the exciting and fast-growing intersection of the entertainment, advertising, PR, social media, tech, and fashion industries. Interest in social media, digital talent, and business development is necessary.
  • The ideal candidate will provide top-level assistance for the Founder/CEO of the company, who runs the day-to-day operations of the company as well as manages a roster of talent. The ideal candidate should be well-organized, take initiative, seek out opportunities, and approach each day with positivity and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Talent agency, PR agency, or advertising agency experience preferred, but not required. There is room for growth internally, with regular 1:1 meetings with the CEO to discuss key learnings. The ideal candidate would desire to grow into a talent manager at the company with their own roster of clients.
  • This is an in-office role. (If you are looking for a remote or hybrid job, this is not it.) This is a small team, and we value working together in-person rather than via video conferencing. Occasional opportunities may arise to work remotely or work from home, but it is not the norm and should not be expected. All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination upon hiring.
  • A computer will be provided. Eventually, the Assistant will be expected to work from the office full-time, unless otherwise determined at a later date.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) —

  • Liaise with buyers (brands, advertising agencies), & talent clients regarding past, current, and future deals. Professionalism is key.
  • Facilitate the coordination of talent clients’ deals, through: Formatting offers for Talent as presented by Buyers and CEO, Send Agreements for e-Signature, Maintain Contract Database, Monitor Exclusivities, Execute & Coordinate Deliverables for Sponsorship (Brand) Deals.
  • Assist CEO in maintaining Deal Pipeline and CRM.
  • Liaise with Accounting Department to ensure deals are properly and accurately invoiced, received, and paid to Talent and third parties. [To be clear: No accounting experience necessary. This is not an accounting role. However, candidates should understand that their role will include liaising with accountants and updating spreadsheets to track deals.]
  • Manage CEO’s calendar, travel, and phones / Maintain phonesheet & contacts.
  • Generate Client Materials through company-provided tools such as Canva & Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Attend events, appearances, with and on behalf of clients & the company (Employee will be given a corporate credit card for business expenses.)
  • Research fast-growing talent across digital platforms & discuss findings with CEO
  • (Occasionally) Respond to CEO’s, Buyers’, or Talents’ emails and text messages during nights & weekends, as needed. (Overtime will be provided for hourly employees.)
  • (Occasionally) Handle personal tasks on behalf of CEO, if CEO is traveling. Every effort will be made to limit personal tasks as humanly possible. (Overtime will be provided for hourly employees.)
  • Other responsibilities to be added or removed, pending business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • Proficient in macOS, G Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs/Sheets) & Microsoft Office. Experience with Slack and ClickUp (or Asana) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative coordination, and logistics.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up & computer skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a small team.
  • Must practice the highest degree of confidentiality & discretion at all times.
  • The type of person who will excel in this role is a self-starter who is responsive, can handle a high volume of communications, is not scared to take on responsibility, enjoys working in-person in an office, enjoys meeting new people, enjoys giving input on efficiencies and optimizations, and genuinely enjoys work within entertainment and advertising industries, or is looking to learn more about those industries.

Timing & Location

  • Seeking a candidate available to start work on/around September 15, 2021 in NYC.
  • Hours: 9:00am-7:00pm Eastern Time; Monday-Friday; 1 Hour Lunch; Occasional nights & weekends (overtime will be provided for hourly employees.)
  • Open to candidates relocating from University or from Los Angeles — We are unable to cover moving expenses to NYC at this time.
