Position Summary

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, Customer Service Representatives directly interface with customers and work to ensure customer requests for products and services are satisfied. Customer Service Reps perform the following major job functions:

  • Offer a consultative approach to meeting customer demands.
  • Effectively manage accounts by ensuring requested products and/or services are provided within the desired delivery date.
  • Coordinate internally and externally to place orders for each customer to meet customer needs
  • Follow-up to ensure the customers’ requests and overall safety needs are satisfied

Essential Responsibilities, includes but are not limited to

  • Develops and maintains a functional knowledge of Company products and services
  • Ensure data integrity by maintaining an accurate account of customer interactions in a timely manner.
  • Direct interaction and first point of contact with customers
  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Address customer needs and process Quotes and Orders promptly
  • Expedite all Distribution open Sales Orders
  • Assist in covering breaks, lunches, and vacations for the receptionist as needed
  • Keep updated client information
  • Build relationships with customers and meet their needs in a timely manner
  • Practice courtesy in all dealings with co-workers and managers
  • Perform all other duties and scheduling as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Three plus years’ industrial inside sales/customer service experience managing external client accounts required OR

safety equipment or services purchasing experience within the industrial safety or environmental industry.

  • 2+ years in industrial outside sales preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Two plus years ERP experience required. Knowledge of NAVISION a plus
  • Inside Sales/Customer Service experience within the safety industry highly preferred
  • Experience selling various gas detection monitors required
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheets
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Full Job Description

Our CDL Drivers load, deliver, unload and pickup equipment and supplies from various local job sites. Drivers must be a dependable and responsible person with a positive attitude that is willing to provide excellent customer service and get the job done. Must have current Hazmat Class A endorsement and adhere to all DOT regulations.

Essential Responsibilities, includes but are not limited to

  • Provides timely delivery and pick-up to and from designated customer locations of customer equipment, breathing air, and/or bottle trailers.
  • Provide courteous customer relations and always strive to strengthen Company.
  • relationship with the customers by establishing a reputation for fast, accurate, and on-time deliveries.
  • Serve as an Air Shop Technician, when directed, performing receipt inspection, cleaning, servicing, reassembling, and testing of customer equipment in accordance with approved testing and service procedures.
  • Continuously strive to upgrade skills and capabilities to be able to handle new assignments and responsibilities consistent with company needs.
  • Understand that all personnel involved in Field Services assignments are both authorized and obligated to refuse to perform any task they deem unsafe, and to immediately report such an incident(s) to management
  • Respond immediately and with a sense of urgency to work requests from the Operations Dispatcher
  • Comply with all applicable DOT regulations and inspect all equipment for damage and/or excessive wear when picking up equipment. Report findings to the Operations Dispatcher
  • Refer to the safety and operations checklists of steps to be followed for each vehicle driven or trailer type to be pulled, and follow checklist before each haul
  • Make deliveries to and pickups from customers’ locations of Company. Equipment trailers, breathing air equipment, and/or other equipment that requires a CDL driver’s license to drive and/or pull. Ensure that all required documentation has been completed and submitted to the Operations Dispatcher
  • Practice safe and courteous driving at all time
  • Learn the site-specific driving and other safety requirements of each customer facility and observe those requirements with every visit to each customer respectively
  • Must be able and willing to work early morning and late evenings. Rotating on-call schedule to include weekends required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Safety conscious with a clean driving record.
  • 2 plus years Class A CDL driver experience with a current hazmat endorsement. (Hazardous Materials)
  • Current TWIC card.
  • Must be the age of 23 or older.
  • Ability to enter all client sites without entry restrictions.
  • Clean driving record with the ability to submit to and pass a background and drug test.
  • Must be able to regularly push and/or pull 110 pounds (wheeled rack) with safety PPE.
